LPL Financial has an agreement with 401(k) Producer Services, one of the nation’s largest retirement plan consulting firms and one of the few firms focused exclusively on retirement plan consulting. You will have the ability to leverage 401(k)Producer Services’ expertise, technology and human capital to deliver locally-branded retirement plan consulting to clients, without having to build the costly infrastructure to support such services.

Marketing on Demand
To engage your current retirement clients and assist with prospecting for new clients, Retirement Product Marketing offers a vast array of marketing materials located in our proprietary online database: Marketing on Demand.

Retirement content can be customized by uploading your photo and logo, choosing a theme and selecting an image.

  • One & Three-Minute Mailers – generate client awareness with postcard and flyer touch-points
  • Postcards – customize your message and send directly from the website after uploading your mailing list

Retirement Plan Consulting Program
This fee-based 401(k) program is for advisors who have demonstrated their expertise in the area of business retirement plans. Once you are approved, you will receive a welcome kit that includes:

  • Program Process – step-by-step details on processing a retirement plan consulting engagement through LPL Financial
  • Retirement Consulting Agreement – you and your client sign this contract with LPL Financial, outlining the fees and services to be rendered; additional approval and requirements apply

LPL Financial Fee-based 401(k)
LPL Financial has partnered with a leading recordkeeper to provide a turnkey fee-based 401(k) solution to LPL Financal advisors. In addition to agreements with over 60 providers offering more than 150 retirement plan products, you will now be able to increase your offerings with a new fee-based open architecture 401(k) option for plan sponsors.

401(k) Participant Consulting Program
The Pension Protection Act of 2006 (PPA) more clearly defines fiduciary responsibilities and liabilities for plan sponsors and advisors. For advisors wishing to offer advice to participants, LPL Financial has a turnkey solution to allow accredited advisors the ability to provide advice for a fee.

Enhancement to E&O Coverage
PPA expanded services in connection with ERISA plans. This potentially increases exposure for LPL Financial advisors. LPL Financial has responded by adding “Fiduciary Liability” to your E&O policy. This new coverage applies to both plan and participant servicing, and was added at no additional cost to advisors.
