  • This timeline helps to move your business to LPL Financial quickly and efficiently

Branding Your Business

  • You decide whether you want to be LPL Financial branded or have your own Doing Business As (DBA) name
  • Get started creating your custom stationery, signage and website and begin setting up your office

Preparing Client Records and Notifications

  • Prepare for your move by using our sample announcement letters to communicate the benefits to your clients
  • Use the LPL Financial automated BranchNet service to establish client records and begin the process of creating new account paperwork

Training and Education

  • Your Transition Specialist will create a training and education program tailored to your specific requirements
  • Your program may include workshops, one-on-one personalized phone training sessions and/or online eLearning modules on everything from growing your practice to preparing for client meetings

Completing Your Transition

  • Depending on your goals and needs, your Transition Specialist will set up one or more conference calls with you and specific departments at LPL Financial
  • These meetings will provide you more detailed information and tell you how you can leverage LPL Financial resources to support and grow your business
We will also work with you to complete the final details of transitioning, including transferring your licenses to LPL Financial, opening accounts and transferring client assets.
