Deferred Compensation Plan

In our continuous effort to provide our advisors with competitive benefits programs, LPL Financial is pleased to announce the implementation of an important new benefit program - the LPL Financial Deferred Compensation Plan. This plan has been developed to provide you with an extremely effective means to accumulate assets for the future.

Key features of the plan include:
  • The ability to defer your broker commissions and investment advisory fees on a pre-tax basis
  • A maximum combined deferral amount of $10,000 annually for advisors that earn between $450,000 and $749,999 in GDC
  • The ability to set up pre-tax, in-service accounts to help you efficiently save for pre-retirement needs, such as college tuition
  • A menu of investment options representing a broad range of well-known asset managers
  • “Model” portfolios to help you automatically diversify your investments; and
  • Flexible retirement distribution options
