Health Insurance Benefits

LPL Financial is proud to provide its advisors with a true group health insurance program aimed at delivering an array of enhanced benefit options at an affordable cost.

Gain greater control over benefit costs for you, family members and full-time staff with:

  • Guaranteed major medical health
  • Dental
  • Vision
  • Life insurance*

*Provided through Trustmark Life Insurance Company, a trusted national insurance provider specializing in group and affinity insurance programs.

Program Highlights
  • The group insurance plan* is available to LPL Financial advisors, their immediate family members and staff. This is not individual insurance
  • All plan options are PPO-based, providing access to a national network of doctors and hospitals provided through Private Healthcare Systems (PHCS)
  • Search for your providers at www.phcs.com
(Note: Regional networks are available where PHCS coverage is not adequate).
  • Traditional medical plans are offered, including varying deductible levels, co-pay options for doctor office visits and prescription drugs, and lifetime maximum benefits up to $2,000,000
  • Qualified, high-deductible health plans that enable Health Savings Account (HAS) options are available for those interested in reducing medical insurance premiums while taking advantage of tax-deductible contributions

Qualifying for Coverage

  • As of January 1, 2008, all new LPL Financial advisors, their full-time staff and families have 30 days from their affiliation date to apply for group health insurance
  • Once this initial 30-day grace period passes, those that did not apply must wait for the next open enrollment period at the end of the current year
  • A life-changing event, such as the birth of a child, marriage or the loss of existing coverage, may qualify you for entry after the 30-day grace period

* Some states may have rate restrictions for group health plans or may prohibit independent contractor participation in this type of plan. In this case, alternative coverage will be offered to residents of such states.
